Part of the 2026-07 Colorado — July 18–26.

Dylan enjoyed the scenery on takeoff, over the ocean. I’d like to prove Mom wrong that the scenery on this trip is boring. But I think I’m a lot better than she is at picking out sights on the ground — native navigation plus pilot instincts. Just passed over Coachella, for example, on our way toward Yuma.

I found a horseshoe bend north of Page, and sure enough, that’s where it was. Navajo Mountain. Some impressive clouds up here, too. Somewhere down there is Forest Gump Point and Mexican Hat. Still on my todo list.
