Amtrak, Oceanside to Union Station.

Should be a nice quick ride, only two hours. Meant to bring a book or pick up a newspaper; forgot and didn’t have change. Damn the cash society anyway — that plus the cost of putting a card reader in a newspaper kiosk.

I’ve got a bunch of video podcasts I haven’t seen yet, waiting on the iPod, not to mention this plinker, and I picked up a ubiquitous pad of graph paper. Never do have much time lately to just sit and mull over my own thoughts.

Current obsession is creating some sort of workable circuit out of a 74HC795 bit shift and PS2501-4 4-channel optocoupler. With optional blinkenlights to indicate that it works.

Fullerton. About ten minutes late.

Seems like it would be a mite cold to be surfing but of course there are people out at San Clemente. Would be interesting to have a beachfront house that comes with a train that passes in front, most likely “…so often you won’t even notice.”

Decided I don’t really need to work on the flash drive, just need to save to it before I wander off to another machine. Should copy a bunch of zombie movies to one of the spare flash cards just for grins.

I’m pretty sure I have a spare Zippo somewhere. I should build a Zippo flash drive container. I’m fairly certain I have a spare Zippo somewhere.

Really do have a short attention span, though.
