I leave for Burning Man once again in a couple of days. Been getting stuff ready, obsessing over electronics for some reason. Got a fancy audio recorder and a cheap waterproof camcorder on Sunday, returned them both today. Got some stuff on order from Amazon including a GPS tracking device and some books on mushrooms. And tonight I got the stereo working in the Rover so I can listen to MP3s; very pleased with that.
The recorder had short battery life and digital artifacts, sounded like crap. The camcorder was just plain cheap from China and worse from Walmart. Back they went. GPS is from Sony, so I hate them — but it seems like a cool toy, well designed, and I guess I get points for it. Going to need to bring spare batteries.
I should be fretting to set up an art project, but I can barely be bothered to get my trike running — need to get that lubed and tested tomorrow.
Otherwise, clothes, various small crap, not a lot else. Lights and blinkies and batteries, oh my.
