I’m on the Coaster, trying out the commute to see if I can stand it, and if I can manage to get any work done while I’m here. There aren’t tray tables at every seat, though I don’t think there are any on the bus, so I need a true “laptop”; my keyboard+iPhone solution works, but takes a little balancing. I suppose there are messenger bags that double as lap desks? If not that’s a marketing opportunity.
Home is about halfway between the Oceanside Coaster and the Escondido rapid bus. It seems like the Coaster would be a bit more comfortable, it also takes just a little longer. Good to have the flexibility to take either. Not good to try to take phone calls on either one — I don’t enjoy phone calls much anyway.
