I was looking up info on cameras, and came across a site offering prices that were just too good to be true. And it turns out, they are.
Did a web search for the company name along with “retailer reviews” and was then entertained by consumer horror stories. In this case, their M.O. is to send an email saying you need to call to confirm your order; they then try to upsell you on warranty, battery, and charger that “aren’t included with the camera” because they’re “international versions” — and if you don’t order the upsell, surprise surprise, your camera is backordered, possibly indefinitely.
Not sure how they get away with this obviously criminal behavior.
