Here’s a new note with the wireless keyboard. Seems a little large to schlep around with me, but it sure works better for journalling than using the onscreen keyboard. Guess I should shell out for the full offline version of Evernote if I’m going to be using it for this.
Decided to take a stroll around for lunch and spend a few dollars — fortunately most of them are virtual on the Apple card. This does get some attention, at least at a bar. I guess I could even use this for notes in meetings — no compromise on the keyboard, compromise on the screen instead.
That’s some fine carne asada. I’ve had the specials both times I’ve come here and they’ve been fine, though overpriced. There’s plenty of space in the afterlunch.
The thing I’m wondering is how to approach the “how do you feel about the results” part of the feedback. Because I think it was a fairly worthless method of assessment — I would have a lot easier time fixing my behavior if I could just talk to either the person or the manager about it. Katy could have said there was a complaint about me and how I handle stress and we could have talked it through and been done with it — instead of this stupid anonymous review process. The questions themselves strike me as meaningless pseudoscience, and perhaps the most useful part, the open-ended responses, return mixed messages and the expected results of asking for negative feedback.
Our product process is broken, and I think that shows in the results.
