On my way up to Dana’s for her birthday party. Feeling overmental somehow. Stopped at Barnes and Noble, and not only bought a huge collection of books on CD, but even shelled out for the damned discount card. Sucker am I tonight.
Am driving the fine little gold Corolla from the Rover dealership (“Enjoy your stay.”) because the Rover’s not done yet; as far as I know they’re still working on preparing the estimate. Shouldn’t be too awful, and I’ve pretty much got to do it anyhow.
Did see a 1990 Range Rover with 110,000 miles for $6500 on Craigslist — seems to me like an incredible bargain. Don’t need it!
The “what’s the darkest beer you have” question stumps a lot of bartenders. They fail (in my judgment) when they tell me anything that has “pale” in the name. Amber is okay, I can drink it; I really prefer stout or nut brown or porter. Not necessarily in that order depending upon the brewery.
Oyster sampler, cup of spicy seafood chowder, and maybe the seared tuna. Kinda expensive, just for my little self, but what the heck, few carbs.
