January 18: I’ve been RIF’d. Made redundant. Cut loose. Kicked to the curb. Don’t have to go home, but I can’t stay there. My company didn’t get the new contracts it needed to, so they had to slash a bunch of people, unfortunately. Nothing I personally could have done about it, but it’s still unfortunate. Will have to start answering those annoying emails and phone calls from recruiters, again. Only looking in N. San Diego county. LMK if you know of anyone who needs me!
March 20: Yesterday as I pulled off the freeway, there was a horrible grinding noise from the front wheel area, sounded like a loose brake caliper or something. I was worried about it all day, looked around and didn’t see anything, drive home. Discovered it was a loose bit of plastic air dam. Also, I got a new job at Intuit. 12+ month contract converting tax calculations. Started yesterday.
June 14: Worked 10 hours today. Feels like it went by in minutes. I’m falling into the tax vortex.
