Fred and Dylan drove from Vista north through California and into southern Oregon over Christmas week 2025, visiting Felicia in Chico and Pamarie Pedjoe in Ashland.
Day 1 — Wednesday 12/24
Dylan and Papa drove from Vista through lots of rain in LA up to sunny southern central valley to Harris Ranch and swam in the big pool and had fancy Christmas Eve dinner!
Day 2 — Thursday 12/25
Harris Ranch to Chico via Sacto and Artois. Walked around the State Capitol building and old Sacramento. Saw Felicia's farm and cats. Walked around and had Indian dinner.
Day 3 — Friday 12/26
Chico — breakfast, Redding Sprouts and Goodwill, Dunsmuir Pizza, Siskiyou snow, Ashland Pamarie — Mexican Dinner
Day 4 — Saturday 12/27
Ashland, OR. Slept in, breakfast, walk, White Rabbit cafe, Blue Thai, Vault 86, Jefferson City, Omar’s diner. Presents!!
Day 5 — Sunday 12/28
Ashland, OR. Bye to Pamarie, Fred Meyer for hat & gloves, Mt. Shasta lunch, played in the snow. Dunsmuir RR Park Train Hotel and dining car dinner!
Day 6 — Monday 12/29
Train hotel to Redding, Bigfoot creek to Moonstone Beach to Arcata — lunch and dinner — HOTEL
Day 7 — Tuesday 12/30
Arcata, beach, bridges, 3 101 to Ferndale park with kitty, T-Rex, BIG TREES, Eel River Cafe, tree carvings, long drive to Santa Rosa, dinner from Whole Foods
Day 8 — Wednesday 12/31
Long drive home via SF Bay and I-5 in sprinkling rain again.
