Just picked up an Apple TV, and also met an interesting guy who “works on Macs” and seemed like he just wanted to hang out and chat. He’d looked me up online and found my Wikitravel entry for Black Rock City. Could have been worse — I’m not exactly short on opinions. He also found my website, which is still down from when it got hacked. I guess I should at least put up a placeholder page there with contact information.
Had a monthly Steve meeting this morning; Katy wasn’t there, so I felt able to bring up some of the development friction issues we’ve been having — always seems odd when I’m the only one to talk. Maybe everyone else thinks things are okay, but this time Chuck and Chuck spoke up as well.
The office is moving — just down the street apparently, further from the airport, closer to the food court — and we’re ditching the warehouse and maintenance facilities off to someplace in Ohio. Sad day to be a maintenance person.
I’m afraid if I keep working here I’ll need to start learning dotnet — not that it looks that hard, but I’ve already got more than enough tiles on my stack, and I don’t really want to add a Microsoft product.
