Why isn’t atheism a monolithic belief or doctrine? Atheism is a lack of belief or doctrine.

Are atheists scared of what might happen after death? Atheists don’t believe in a god. We don’t have a common position on the afterlife. When you die, you die. The afterlife is just other people’s fading memories of you. I’m not afraid of anything after I die — I’m afraid of not making the most of life before I die.

If you died and went to hell for your atheism, would you regret it? If you died, and there was no heaven or hell, no afterlife — you’re just dead. Would you regret it? No, you wouldn’t, because you’re dead.

Does evolution have any good news to tell us? The primary message of evolution is that everything is getting better.

“Evolutionists can have no purpose in their lives. Does this not bother you?” There is no such thing as an “evolutionist.” You’re making up stories about some imagined class of people. Does this not bother you?

If you could pick one religion to be true, which would it be? Zen Buddhism, because it doesn’t depend heavily on mythology or belief in a supernatural being, and for the most part it’s based on questions more so than it is answers.
