So I wonder how much all that stuff cost me over the years; that and all the support equipment that went along with it, accessories, software, batteries, and so forth. And if you include all the vehicles and computers I’ve bought and sold. That’s where all my money went.

So just yesterday I sold 800 shares of BMY at $57.30, about $45K, and now my Schwab account is in the positive. But then I’ve got to write checks for a bunch of VISA bills, I’ve got 18K cash in the Schwab account; I think I’ll owe about $5000 of taxes on the sold stocks.

Last night I couldn’t sleep because my head was filled with visions of perl and/or shell scripts.

One bummer of a thing is I don’t even use most of my stuff. And the other thing I’ve been trying to do lately is to throw some stuff away. I’ve got a shiteload of stuff and some of it is really cool but I’m not running a museum here. Lots and lots of little crap that I don’t know what to do with. As I told Amy, that drawer with all the stuff you don’t know what to do with — my whole house is like that.
