I got my “blog” running, and posted several rants — about music, electronics, software, that sort of crap. Good coding practice (or at least a little bit of practice coding) and I feel like I have some vague idea how PHP works now. I still need to understand how to do security but that shouldn’t be that big a deal if I know the basics.

The site is obtainium.org. I could of course post my diary online, but I don’t wanna.

I don’t imagine I’ll keep up the pace of several articles a day — but it’s interesting to play with. I could even post my journal online if I wanted to, I just don’t want to.

The guy at the next bar stool tonight has an Airport network — next door, apparently — so he’s going to set me up a connection. And he does “web application development,” which is exactly what I want to do. Such a deal. Would be really sweet to find myself in a new job just by accident like that. But I forget his name — Greg or Craig or Jim or something like that.

June 13, 2002, Carlsbad Pizza Port. The blog on obtainium.org ran for several years. PHP session management remained a challenge. The guy at the bar never called.
