December 9, 1927 – March 24, 2007. Becke's father; Dylan's maternal grandfather.

He was born George — Yoseph — Shulman into a Jewish family in St. Louis, Missouri, and came up there before heading west to Los Angeles around 1960. He worked as a stockbroker and in commercial real estate. By the early 1990s he had settled in North County San Diego — San Marcos, then Carlsbad — the same coast where Fred and Becke would land. He died in Carlsbad in 2007 and was taken home to St. Louis, buried at the Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol cemetery in Ladue.
