Jamaican food in Carlsbad. The Scotch Bonnet sauce deserved a warning label. Rated ★★★★☆

Stopped in again; I got the pork ribs, my buddy got the goat. I had a big Red Stripe, we shared an appetizer of Jamaican wings. Service was fine, food was great. Giving it an extra star because I might not have tried the goat, but it wasn’t baaaaad. Oh, and the Scotch Bonnet salsa should come with a disclaimer. In fact they should make you sign a waiver. “Maybe I’ll try some of this yellow sauce, too…” They coulda just told me it was Habanero.

Earlier visit: Liked the jerk chicken and the shredded beef, Jamaican empanadas, dirty beans and rice. The pint-sized Red Stripe was appreciated. The place is small but it has good character. I’m pretty sure our waiter was stoned, though he didn’t seem like an actual Jamaican (I don’t picture them as blond surfer dudes).
