Jamroc 101 Caribbean Grill, Vista. Rated ★★★★☆
Stopped in again. I got the pork ribs; my buddy got the goat. Big Red Stripe, shared an appetizer of Jamaican wings. Service was fine, food was great. Giving the place an extra star because if I hadn’t gone with someone who ordered the goat, I wouldn’t have tried it. It wasn’t baaaad.
The Scotch Bonnet salsa should come with a disclaimer. In fact they should make you sign a waiver. I spotted some interesting yellow sauce on the table and thought, maybe I’ll try a little of that.
They could have just told me it was habanero.
The place has good character. The jerk chicken and shredded beef were great on the first visit, and the goat on the second made it worth a fourth star.
