San Diego airport, baggage claim. I’m writing to Britt.
“I’m starting this letter from the baggage claim area of San Diego airport (home of the Bag Nazis). Just returned from a trip to San Jose, San Francisco, Reno, and San Jose. A week-long fun-for-all, not. Though it wasn’t altogether awful, just the parts where Rick was there.”
Am writing on a new iBook (466mhz/192MB/13GB). Finally decided to upgrade — or perhaps it’s a side-grade — the trusty old 2400. Really too bad that Apple doesn’t make anything SMALL anymore; but aside from size and weight this is a fine piece of machinery. I’ve got a developer copy of Mac OSX and more grandiose overambitious plans to do development — in my spare time, of course. And this machine will also let me do something productive while I watch TV (or apparently while I wait in airport baggage claim).
Somehow I just feel a lot more creative when writing on the Mac; in a sense I guess I’m less suspicious that I’ll lose everything I’ve been working on; or maybe I’m just more relaxed in front of this interface.
I notice I’m rambling again. Par for the course.
Spent the weekend in San Francisco, stayed with Rebecca, saw Mike who has become an illicit backyard farmer (and some amazing shit, let me tell you!) Went to a party at Jay’s, brunch with the Uncle, then drove to Reno for an install yesterday and back here for a demo today.
Ah, the baggages they appear to be arriving. Will complete this once home.
