Carlsbad coast. Fred is taking breaks from the Cybertel ordeal by flying RC gliders off the bluffs.

I say that because they couldn’t refill my bottle of beer because it was from the old brewery and the liquor licence won’t let them. But they’re getting me a new jug.
The wind was nice when I got to the beach, actually had some minor luck with the glider, only had to run up and down the hill about half a dozen times. That’s a total babe magnet of an activity. I kept thinking of talking myself to the movies; but why when I can sit at home in my little computer room instead??
At least I got motivated to clean up some shit in the garage today. By the time I get it straightened out I’ll be ready to move again.
Driving the Pinzgauer has given me a bit of a headache all day — probably driving it with it unburning gas or something.

Had the maiden flight of my new plane this afternoon, one fucked up flight because the elevator was upside down (including a fine inadvertent loop), two decent flights, the first ending partway down the hill and the other ending smashing against the fence but not quite going onto the road which would have really really sucked. As it was there seems to be just a bit of repairable damage to the tail boom. Didn’t get to fly the Zagy because there wasn’t enough wind for it; but I think it should do better now that there’s less weight.
