Red Robin, Reno.

Considered going to a strip club but decided against it. Went to Borders instead, where I got cheap blues CDs and met a woman at the counter who had a chin stud, purple hair, and a barbed wire infinity tattoo on the back of her neck.

Should have said something more — “I really like your look” — but she commented on my earring, and I left it at that. This might be a way to meet people if I would extend myself just a bit. A lot of times when I’m in shopping mode, though, I become oblivious to the world around me.

“New and Improved! Legacy-free! Buzzword-compliant! Fun for all ages! User-friendly!”

The drive out here really didn’t seem that long. Having a tape helps immeasurably — this afternoon I just wanted to stay in the car and listen to the rest of the tape I was on.

It’s too bad there aren’t strip clubs where you can see really bizarre shit. Tittie bars pale in comparison.

Back to the motel; play a little and watch TV, off to bed. More of the same.

Fred was in Reno to do a Telenomics install at Douglas County, NV. He’d just moved to a “new better faster server with Win2k and remote access.” The blues CDs were not catalogued.
