Chain BBQ with good sauce but no vegetables not deep-fried. Rated β β β ββ
Decent meat (I prefer the beef ribs); great sauces. Love the hot spicy pickles. Decent beer selection. Moderately cheesy decor, less appealing because it looks new and fabricated rather than old, rusty and authentic. All of the sides are carb-o-loaded, so much so that I never have them and it sort of grosses me out. I know the ribs and beer are fattening. Give me at least one vegetable that hasnβt been deep-fried! Somewhat overpriced for a plate of meat.
Later visit at the bar: Had the everfill iced tea, and a brisket sandwich with a side of apples. The bar waitress was attentive and just friendly enough. The brisket was a bit bland but not too fatty, the devil spit sauce was so good I bought a bottle to take home; love the tabletop sauce bar! Still wish they had healthier sides; in fact, would rather have had a bit more brisket and no bread. They didnβt give me enough hot pickles but the sauce was burning my mouth anyway.
